Code of Conduct
I understand that Being Beloved and I are both working toward the
ministry of helping people experience God’s love through interactive
relational seminars. This means I have an active personal relationship with
Jesus Christ, which I nurture by reading the Bible regularly, praying and
involvement in a local Body of Believers. To that effect I agree to:
1. Practice the Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience,
self-control, gentleness, meekness, temperance), which includes sexual
purity, no cussing, coming to the speaking engagement at the agreed upon
time.
2. Make every effort to not create disunity among people by bringing up
issues of politics or controversial doctrinal issues, unless the purpose of
the course is to explore these topics and that is clearly explained in the
advertisement of the talk..
3. Refrain from soliciting, mailing to, otherwise marketing to participants
or off the class roster. What that means is that the initiative to continue
any business relationship after class is over must be come from the
participants. I understand that I am permitted to place my business cards,
brochures, or optional publications for purchase on a table in the room if
agreed upon by the person inviting me to speak. I will not use active
persuasion to encourage students to take or purchase items I might bring to
sell. I can have a “sign up sheet” that participants can optionally
choose to list their names and phone numbers if the person inviting me to
speak agrees.
4. I agree not to make any materials mandatory to purchase unless they are
workbooks used in class and have been approved by person inviting me to
speak. It is acceptable to have a book table with books and tapes available
for sale if the sponsor agrees. The initiative to purchase these items
should come from the students.
5. I agree to paying Being Beloved 20% of whatever I make from the speaking
engagement. You will not get and invoice, but this is on the honor system.
